A fun way to introduce sculpture techniques to the 3rd graders and totally have lots of fun with air dry clay! Each student was given one packet of Crayola Model Magic and a recycled CD and several sculpting tools. Day 1: was spent creating the snowmen and any other added features, such as; eyes, scarves, boots, noses, etc.. Day 2: after letting the sculptures air dry for several days, color was added with colored sharpies, ribbons were added and arms were attached with pipe cleaners.
