We discussed what OP Art is, and the work of Bridget Riley. First, each student used a 12 inch ruler to make a "checkerboard" and then we used found objects to trace the concentric circles. The most difficult part of this lesson was following the pattern, since often the colors would end up touching one another, and that really frustrated some of the students. Overall, I think they look amazing!
