1st Grade

Vincent Van Gogh inspired Sunflowers

These sunflowers had many steps before they became the gorgeous flowers you see in the pictures.
First we sponge painted with tints and shades of orange for the petals.  Then we had to create and cut out and assemble the flower heads.  Secondly, the leaves and stem were created and cut and assembled.  Lastly, we added paint to give the green a little more texture.




5TH GRADE

Fall leaves using concentric circles.  The 5th graders worked hard at learning how to use a compass for this lesson.  We also used only warm colors for our leaves and cool colors for the background.




3RD GRADE

SEASONAL PUMPKIN PAINTINGS.  WE USED THE CONCEPTS OF TINT AND SHADES OF ORANGE AND GREEN FOR THESE PUMPKINS.


2ND GRADE

MY SECOND GRADE ART STUDENTS WORKED SO HARD ON THESE OWLS, AND I BELIEVE IT REALLY SHOWS!  AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!

DAY OF THE DEAD SKELETONS!

In the 3rd grade classes we observe and celebrate the Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertos!

Kindergarten

Firetrucks!

Each year these awesome firetrucks always seem to return as a favorite of the Kinder Art classes.  The recycled egg carton that becomes the most fun red firetruck!
